Rishabh Pant, born on October 4, 1997, is a prominent Indian international cricketer renowned for his role as a wicket-keeper batter. He currently serves as the vice-captain of the Indian national team in the Test format, showcasing his leadership skills and cricketing prowess on the international stage.
In the Indian Premier League, Pant captains the Lucknow Super Giants, where he made headlines by becoming the most expensive player in the league's history, being acquired for twenty-seven crore rupees, equivalent to three point two million US dollars, during the 2025 auction. His remarkable journey includes being part of the Indian team that clinched victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy.
Pant's cricketing career began to flourish when he was the vice-captain of the India U19 team that finished as runners-up in the 2016 U19 Cricket World Cup.
