Rita Kőbán

Rita Kőbán, born on April 10, 1965, is a celebrated Hungarian canoe sprinter and coach, renowned for her remarkable achievements in the world of competitive kayaking. Over the course of her illustrious career, she represented Hungary in four Olympic Games, specifically in 1988, 1992, 1996, and 2000, where she secured an impressive total of six Olympic medals. Her gold medals came in the K-4 500 m event in 1992 and the K-1 500 m event in 1996, while her silver and bronze medals further showcased her versatility and skill across various kayak disciplines.

In addition to her Olympic success, Kőbán has made a significant mark in the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, amassing a staggering twenty-six medals.
