Rob Lantz

Rob Lantz, born on January first, nineteen seventy, is a prominent Canadian politician who has made significant contributions to the political landscape of Prince Edward Island. He has held the esteemed position of the thirty-fourth premier of the province since February ninth, twenty twenty-six, after previously serving in the role from February to December of twenty twenty-five.

A dedicated member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Prince Edward Island, Lantz has demonstrated his leadership capabilities by serving as the party's leader on three separate occasions. His first term as leader began in February of two thousand fifteen, followed by a brief interim leadership from February to December of twenty twenty-five, and he has been the permanent leader since February ninth, twenty twenty-six.

Before his rise to provincial leadership, Lantz was an active member of the Charlottetown City Council from two thousand six to two thousand fourteen. His political journey took a significant turn when he was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Charlottetown-Brighton in twenty twenty-three. He played a vital role in the Dennis King Cabinet and ascended to the premiership following King's resignation.
