Robert Daudelin, born on May thirty-first, nineteen thirty-nine, is a distinguished Canadian film administrator and historian, renowned for his pivotal role as the longtime director of the Cinémathèque québécoise. His contributions to the film industry extend beyond administration; he is also celebrated for his insightful work as a film historian.

A visionary in the realm of cinema, Daudelin co-founded the Quebec film magazine Objectif and served as a programmer for the Montreal International Film Festival. His leadership was instrumental as the first director of the Conseil québécois pour la diffusion du cinéma, and he has been an active member of the board of the International Federation of Film Archives.

In nineteen eighty-seven, he directed the documentary film 'Konitz: Portrait of the Artist as a Saxophonist,' which delves into the life of jazz musician Lee Konitz, produced for the National Film Board.
