Robert Fein

Robert Fein, born on December ninth, nineteen oh seven, was an exceptional Austrian weightlifter who made his mark in the world of sports during the 1930s. He achieved remarkable success, culminating in his gold medal victory in the lightweight class at the 1936 Summer Olympics, a testament to his dedication and skill.

In the following year, Fein continued to showcase his prowess by securing a silver medal at the 1937 World Weightlifting Championships. This achievement was further highlighted by his remarkable feat of setting his twenty-third world record that same year, solidifying his status as one of the leading athletes in his discipline.

Tragically, Fein's promising career was cut short due to the rise of anti-Semitism, which barred him from competing in weightlifting because of his Jewish heritage. This unjust restriction marked the end of his competitive journey, and he never returned to the sport he loved.
