Robert Jarni

Robert Jarni, born on October twenty-sixth, nineteen sixty-eight, is a distinguished Croatian former professional footballer renowned for his versatility as a left winger and wing-back. He embarked on his professional journey with Hajduk Split in nineteen eighty-six, where he showcased his talent for a decade before transitioning to various clubs across Italy and Spain. Jarni concluded his playing career in Greece with Panathinaikos in two thousand.

Throughout his illustrious career, Jarni was a stalwart for the Croatia national team from nineteen ninety to two thousand, earning a remarkable total of eighty international caps. He held the record for the most caps for the national team until June two thousand six, when Dario Šimić surpassed his achievement. Prior to Croatia's independence, he also represented Yugoslavia, earning seven international caps.

Jarni's international career was highlighted by his participation in three FIFA World Cups: in nineteen ninety with Yugoslavia, and in nineteen ninety-eight and two thousand with Croatia. His crowning achievement came during the nineteen ninety-eight World Cup in France, where he played in all seven of Croatia's matches, contributing to their historic bronze medal victory. Notably, he scored his only international goal for Croatia in the quarter-finals against Germany, leading to a three-nil triumph.
