Robert Zoellick

Robert Zoellick, born on July 25, 1953, is a distinguished American public official and lawyer, renowned for his impactful roles in global finance and diplomacy. He served as the 11th president of the World Bank Group from July 1, 2007, to June 30, 2012, where he played a pivotal role in addressing international economic challenges.

Before his tenure at the World Bank, Zoellick held significant positions in the U.S. government, including United States Deputy Secretary of State from 2005 to 2006 and U.S. Trade Representative from 2001 to 2005. His career in public service began in the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush, where he contributed to various initiatives and policies that shaped U.S. foreign relations.

In addition to his governmental roles, Zoellick was the chairman of international advisors at Goldman Sachs from 2006 to 2007.
