Robinah Nabbanja, born on December seventeenth, nineteen sixty-nine, is a prominent Ugandan educator and politician. She has made history as the first female Prime Minister of Uganda, a position she assumed on June twenty-first, twenty twenty-one, succeeding Ruhakana Rugunda, who transitioned to serve as the Envoy for Special Duties in the Office of the President of Uganda.
Her roots trace back to her parents, the late John Kayiira, a farmer and tailor, and Ms. Nzeremeri Nakato. Robinah's commitment to public service is evident through her previous role as the State Minister of Health for General Duties, where she served from December fourteenth, twenty nineteen, until May third, twenty twenty-one.
In addition to her ministerial duties, she is an elected Member of Parliament representing the women of Kakumiro District. Her tenure in the eleventh Parliament, which spans from twenty twenty-one to twenty twenty-six, follows her impactful service in the tenth Parliament from twenty sixteen to twenty twenty-one.
