Robyn Meagher, born on June seventeenth, nineteen sixty-seven, is a distinguished retired Canadian middle and long-distance runner. Her athletic prowess was showcased on the world stage as she represented Canada at the Summer Olympics in nineteen ninety-two and nineteen ninety-six, along with competing in three World Championships.
In addition to her Olympic appearances, Meagher achieved notable success at the Commonwealth Games, where she earned a silver medal in nineteen ninety-four. Her contributions to athletics have been recognized through her inductions into the University of Victoria’s Sport Hall of Fame in two thousand seven and the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame in two thousand ten.
Beyond her athletic career, Meagher has transitioned into a fulfilling role as a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Health & Performance Coach, helping others achieve their personal bests. She shares her life with her husband, Jason Dorland, a fellow athlete known for his accomplishments in rowing.
