Robyn Miller

Robyn Miller, born on August sixth, nineteen sixty-six, is a prominent American video game designer renowned for his pivotal role in the gaming industry. As the co-founder of Cyan Worlds alongside his brother Rand Miller, Robyn made significant contributions to the world of interactive entertainment. He is best known for co-designing the groundbreaking computer game Myst, which captivated audiences and held the title of best-selling computer game from its launch in nineteen ninety-three until the arrival of The Sims seven years later.

In addition to his work on Myst, Robyn co-directed and co-led the design of its sequel, Riven, which achieved remarkable success as the best-selling computer game of nineteen ninety-seven. His talents extended beyond design; he composed and performed the soundtracks for both Myst and Riven, enhancing the immersive experience of these iconic games. Furthermore, Robyn showcased his acting skills by portraying Sirrus, one of the antagonists in Myst, with his brother Rand taking on the roles of Achenar and Atrus.

Robyn's creative endeavors did not stop with video games. He co-wrote the first Myst novel, The Book of Atrus, further expanding the rich narrative universe of the franchise. After the success of Riven, Robyn decided to leave Cyan Worlds to explore interests beyond gaming, including filmmaking.
