Roger Ailes

Roger Ailes was a prominent American television executive and media consultant, best known for his role as the chairman and CEO of Fox News, Fox Television Stations, and 20th Television. His career was marked by significant influence in conservative media and his work with several Republican presidents, including Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush. Ailes also played a pivotal role in Rudy Giuliani's successful 1989 campaign for mayor of New York City.

Despite his professional achievements, Ailes' legacy is marred by controversy. In July 2016, he departed from Fox News amid serious allegations of sexual harassment involving several female employees, including notable on-air personalities such as Gretchen Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Andrea Tantaros. These allegations highlighted a troubling culture within the network, which many critics described as misogynistic.

Ailes was born on May 15, nineteen forty, and lived with hemophilia, a condition that affects the blood's ability to clot. This medical issue ultimately contributed to his death on May 18, two thousand seventeen, at the age of seventy-seven, following a subdural hematoma that was exacerbated by his hemophilia.
