Roman Amoyan

Roman Amoyan, born on September third, nineteen eighty-three, is a distinguished retired Greco-Roman wrestler hailing from Armenia. His remarkable career in amateur wrestling has earned him a prominent place in the sports community, particularly within the Greco-Roman discipline.

Throughout his illustrious career, Amoyan has achieved significant accolades, including an Olympic bronze medal, which stands as a testament to his dedication and skill on the mat. In addition to his Olympic success, he has also secured three medals at the World Championships and has been crowned European Champion on two occasions, showcasing his prowess against the best in the world.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the sport, Roman was honored with the title of Honored Master of Sports of Armenia in two thousand nine. This prestigious title reflects not only his achievements but also his influence in promoting wrestling within his country and beyond.
