Roman Giertych

Roman Giertych, born on February twenty-seventh, nineteen seventy-one, is a prominent Polish historian, lawyer, and politician. He first gained national attention as a far-right political figure, serving as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Education from May two thousand six to August two thousand seven. His tenure in the Sejm, the lower house of the Polish parliament, spanned from two thousand one to two thousand seven, during which he also chaired the League of Polish Families party and founded the All-Polish Youth organization.

After the coalition government fell in two thousand seven, Giertych's political influence waned, leading him to focus on his legal career. He established a law firm in Warsaw, where he represented clients in various high-profile cases, showcasing his expertise in the legal field.

In a surprising turn of events, Giertych re-emerged in the political arena by aligning himself with the liberal Civic Coalition. He served as a lawyer for the coalition before being re-elected to the Sejm in two thousand twenty-three. By two thousand twenty-five, he had fully integrated into the coalition's largest party, further solidifying his political comeback.

Following the presidential election in two thousand twenty-five, Giertych became a key figure in the party's efforts to contest the legitimacy of the election results, particularly against president-elect Karol Nawrocki.
