Ron Oliver

Ron Oliver, born in nineteen fifty, is a multifaceted Canadian writer, director, producer, and actor, celebrated for his contributions to genre films, particularly his enchanting Christmas movies for the Hallmark Channel.

His directing journey commenced with the cult classic Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II, a project he also penned. Oliver's versatility is evident from his time as a host on Canada's YTV, where he engaged audiences with shows like YTV Hits, The Ron Oliver Show, Oliver's Twist, and Rock 'n Talk.

Throughout his career, he has directed numerous television and film scripts, earning two nominations for the Directors Guild of America Award. Notably, he directed episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Goosebumps, where he notably cast a young Ryan Gosling.
