Ron Tugnutt, born on October 22, 1967, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Over the course of his career, he showcased his skills in the National Hockey League (NHL) with several teams, including the Quebec Nordiques, Edmonton Oilers, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Pittsburgh Penguins, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Dallas Stars.
One of the highlights of Tugnutt's career came on March 21, 1991, while he was with the Nordiques. In a remarkable performance against the Boston Bruins, he set a modern-day NHL record by making seventy saves out of seventy-three shots in a thrilling three-to-three tie.
After hanging up his skates, Tugnutt transitioned into a leadership role within the sport. He took on the responsibilities of president, governor, and coach for the Kemptville 73's in the Central Canada Hockey League, contributing to the development of future hockey talent.
