Rony Seikaly

Rony Seikaly, born on May tenth, nineteen sixty-five, is a former NBA star who made history as the first-ever draft pick in Miami Heat history. Renowned for his skills as a center, he became one of the best players in the league and was among the first internationally born athletes to leave a significant mark on American basketball. His impressive career includes accolades such as the NBA Most Improved Player award and two NBA Player of the Week honors.

Before entering the professional arena, Seikaly led Syracuse University to the NCAA Championship Final, marking a golden era in the school's basketball history. Throughout his career, he competed against legends like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Larry Bird, and Shaquille O’Neal, earning gold medals and setting multiple franchise and collegiate records.
