Rosanne Cash

Rosanne Cash, born on May 24, 1955, is an acclaimed American singer-songwriter and author, recognized as the eldest daughter of legendary country musician Johnny Cash and his first wife, Vivian Cash. While often categorized within the country genre, her musical repertoire is a rich tapestry that weaves together elements of folk, pop, rock, blues, and Americana.

In the 1980s, Cash achieved significant commercial success with a series of genre-blending singles, most notably her breakthrough hit 'Seven Year Ache' in nineteen eighty-one, which soared to the top of the U.S. country singles chart and made its mark in the Top 30 of the U.S. pop chart. This period marked the beginning of her rise as a prominent figure in the music industry.

In nineteen ninety, Cash released 'Interiors,' an introspective album that marked a departure from her earlier pop-country style. The following year, she ended her marriage to songwriter Rodney Crowell and relocated from Nashville to New York City. Since then, she has continued to evolve as an artist, releasing six albums, authoring three books, and editing a collection of short stories.
