She has made her mark as a two-time Olympic champion, securing gold medals at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Games. Her prowess extends to the World Championships, where she claimed the title of World Trampoline champion in both 2013 and 2018.

In addition to her Olympic and World successes, MacLennan has excelled at the Pan American Games, winning gold in the individual trampoline event in both 2011 and 2015. Her journey in gymnastics began early, as she became the Canadian National Women's champion in 2005, 2009, and 2011. Notably, in 2007, she partnered with Karen Cockburn to win the World Championship in synchronized trampoline.

Throughout her career, MacLennan has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, earning five silver and four bronze medals in World Championship competitions across both individual and synchronized events.
