Ross Brawn

Ross Brawn, born on November twenty-third, nineteen fifty-four, is a distinguished British engineer and executive in the world of Formula One. With a career spanning several decades, he has held pivotal roles as a managing director, technical director, and team principal for various teams in the sport.

Throughout his illustrious career, Brawn has been instrumental in the success of teams that have clinched a remarkable eight constructors' championships and eight drivers' championships. His tenure as the technical director for the championship-winning Benetton and Ferrari teams solidified his reputation as the 'mastermind' behind Michael Schumacher's seven world championship titles.

After taking a sabbatical in two thousand seven, Brawn made a triumphant return to Formula One in two thousand eight as the team principal of Honda. In early two thousand nine, he acquired the Honda team, transforming it into the Brawn GP team, which achieved an extraordinary feat by winning both the Constructors' and Drivers' Championships that same year.

In November two thousand nine, Mercedes entered into a partnership with Brawn GP, appointing Brawn as team principal and co-owner alongside Nick Fry. The team continued to thrive under his leadership until two thousand eleven, when Brawn and Fry sold their remaining shares to Mercedes-Benz, although Brawn remained at the helm as team principal. However, in November two thousand thirteen, it was announced that he would step down, passing the leadership to Paddy Lowe and Toto Wolff. Following speculation about his future in the sport, Brawn officially announced his retirement from Formula One in February two thousand fourteen.
