Ross Hutchins

Ross Hutchins, born on February 22, 1985, is a retired British professional tennis player renowned for his accomplishments in doubles. He achieved a remarkable highest doubles ranking of twenty-six and represented England at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, where he secured a silver medal alongside partner Ken Skupski in the Men's Doubles event.

Turning professional in 2002, Hutchins made significant strides on the Challenger circuit before breaking into the ATP Tour in late 2007. Throughout his career, he reached thirteen ATP Tour doubles finals, triumphing in five of them, including prestigious tournaments in Beijing, Montpellier, St Petersburg, Delray Beach, and Eastbourne. His most notable Grand Slam season came in 2011, where he reached the quarter-finals at both Wimbledon and the US Open.

In late 2012, Hutchins faced a personal challenge when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Fortunately, after undergoing treatment, he went into remission by July 2013. At the time of his diagnosis, he was ranked as the British No. 3 and held the twenty-eighth position in the world doubles rankings. However, after missing the entire 2013 season, he fell out of the ATP singles rankings but made a commendable return to the sport at the start of the 2014 season.

In March 2014, Hutchins transitioned to a new role as the tournament director of the Aegon Championships, showcasing his expertise off the court. However, by September of the same year, he left this position to become the ATP's vice-president of player relations, further contributing to the sport he loves.
