Ross Taylor

Ross Taylor, born on March 8, 1984, is a distinguished cricketer who has made significant contributions to both New Zealand and Samoan cricket. He served as the captain of the New Zealand national team and is celebrated for his remarkable batting skills, predominantly at the number four position. Taylor's illustrious career saw him become the leading run-scorer for New Zealand in Test and One Day International cricket by the time he announced his retirement from international play at the end of 2021.

A pivotal figure in New Zealand's cricketing history, Taylor was instrumental in the team's triumph in the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship, famously scoring the winning boundary in the final. His journey also includes being part of the New Zealand squads that finished as runners-up in the Cricket World Cup finals of 2015 and 2019, showcasing his ability to perform on the biggest stages.
