Roy Farran

Roy Farran, born on January second, nineteen twenty-one, was a multifaceted individual whose life spanned various roles including journalist, politician, university teacher, soldier, and military officer. His early career was marked by his involvement in the Second World War, where he gained notoriety due to a court-martial stemming from a tragic incident involving the death of a seventeen-year-old member of the Jewish underground militant group Lehi.

Following the loss of his brother in a revenge attack, Farran made the significant decision to emigrate to Canada. This move proved pivotal as he transitioned into a successful business and political career. From nineteen seventy-one to nineteen seventy-nine, he held a seat in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the Progressive Conservative caucus.
