Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Roy Hodgson

Roy Hodgson, born on August ninth, nineteen forty-seven, is a distinguished English football manager and former player, currently serving as the interim head coach of EFL Championship club Bristol City. His extensive managerial career spans over four decades and includes leading twenty-two different teams across eight countries, starting with Halmstad in Sweden in nineteen seventy-six.

Hodgson's notable achievements include guiding the Switzerland national team to the last sixteen of the nineteen ninety-four World Cup and securing qualification for Euro nineteen ninety-six, a significant milestone as Switzerland had not participated in a major tournament since the nineteen sixties. He also managed the Finland national team from two thousand six to two thousand seven, achieving their highest-ever FIFA ranking of thirty-third and coming close to qualifying for a major tournament for the first time in their history.

From May two thousand twelve to June two thousand sixteen, Hodgson took the helm of the England national team. His club management experience is extensive, having led teams such as Inter Milan, Blackburn Rovers, Malmö, Grasshoppers, Copenhagen, Udinese, Fulham, Liverpool, West Bromwich Albion, Watford, and his boyhood club Crystal Palace, where he managed for two hundred games across two spells.

In addition to his coaching roles, Hodgson has contributed to the football community as a member of UEFA's technical study group during the European Championships and as part of the FIFA technical study group at the two thousand six World Cup. A polyglot, he speaks five languages and has also worked as a television pundit in several countries where he has coached.
