Rubén Plaza, born on February twenty-ninth, nineteen eighty, is a distinguished Spanish former professional road bicycle racer. His career spanned from two thousand one to two thousand nineteen, during which he showcased his exceptional talent while competing for several prominent teams, including Comunidad Valenciana–Kelme, Benfica, Liberty Seguros, Movistar Team, Lampre–Merida, Orica–Scott, and Israel Cycling Academy.
Throughout his illustrious career, Plaza achieved remarkable milestones, notably securing a top five overall placing in the two thousand five Vuelta a España. Additionally, he celebrated victory in three Grand Tour stages, solidifying his reputation as a formidable competitor in the cycling world.
After hanging up his racing wheels, Plaza transitioned into a new role as a directeur sportif.
