Rudolf Vytlačil

Rudolf Vytlačil, born on February ninth, nineteen twelve, in Schwechat, a suburb of Vienna, was a prominent figure in Czechoslovak football, both as a player and a coach. He began his football journey with Phönix Schwechat before moving on to play for notable clubs such as SK Slovan Wien, SK Rapid Wien, and Favoritner Sportclub in the Austrian Championship, as well as Slavia Prague in the Czechoslovak Championship.

Vytlačil's coaching career was marked by significant achievements, most notably as the head coach of the Czechoslovak national team during the nineteen sixty-two FIFA World Cup, where they finished as runners-up. He also took charge of the Bulgarian national team at the nineteen sixty-six FIFA World Cup, showcasing his versatility and expertise in international football.

Throughout his coaching tenure, Vytlačil led several clubs to success, including Radomiak Radom in Poland from nineteen forty-seven to nineteen forty-eight, and Levski Sofia, where he secured two Bulgarian championships in nineteen sixty-five and nineteen seventy, along with a Bulgarian Cup in nineteen seventy. His experience also included stints with TJ Baník Ostrava OKD, Tatran Teplice, and TJ Gottwaldov, as well as a return to SK Rapid Wien from nineteen sixty-six to nineteen sixty-eight, where he won the Austrian championship twice and reached the quarterfinals of the European Champions Cup after a memorable victory against Real Madrid.
