Ruhakana Rugunda

Ruhakana Rugunda, born on November seventh, nineteen forty-seven, is a distinguished Ugandan physician and politician. His career spans several decades, during which he has held numerous cabinet positions under the leadership of President Yoweri Museveni since nineteen eighty-six. His extensive experience in governance and public service has made him a prominent figure in Uganda's political landscape.

From nineteen ninety-four to nineteen ninety-six, Rugunda served as Uganda's Minister of Foreign Affairs, where he played a crucial role in shaping the country's international relations. He later took on the responsibilities of Minister of Internal Affairs from two thousand three to two thousand nine, further solidifying his influence in national security and internal governance.

Rugunda's diplomatic skills were recognized when he was appointed as Uganda's Permanent Representative to the United Nations from two thousand nine to two thousand eleven. His tenure in this role showcased his commitment to representing Uganda on the global stage. Following this, he served as Minister of Health from two thousand thirteen to two thousand fourteen, addressing critical health issues in the country.

On September eighteenth, two thousand fourteen, Ruhakana Rugunda was appointed Prime Minister of Uganda, a position he held until June twenty-first, two thousand twenty-one. He succeeded Amama Mbabazi, who was removed from the Cabinet.
