Rulon Gardner

Rulon Gardner, born on August 16, 1971, is a celebrated American retired Greco-Roman wrestler and mixed martial arts fighter. He is best known for his remarkable achievement at the 2000 Olympic Games, where he captured the gold medal by defeating the formidable Aleksandr Karelin, a three-time reigning Olympic gold medalist who had remained unbeaten in international competition for an impressive thirteen years.

In addition to his Olympic triumph, Gardner also showcased his talent at the 2004 Olympic Games, where he earned a bronze medal, further solidifying his status as one of the elite athletes in the sport of wrestling.
