Rustam Kazakov

Rustam Kazakov, born on January second, nineteen forty-seven, is a distinguished former Soviet wrestler of Crimean Tatar heritage. Hailing from Tashkent in the Uzbek SSR, he made a significant mark in the world of Greco-Roman wrestling, representing VS Tashkent throughout his illustrious career.

His most notable achievement came during the 1972 Summer Olympics held in Munich, where he showcased his exceptional skills and determination, ultimately winning a gold medal in the bantamweight class. This victory not only solidified his status as an elite athlete but also brought pride to his heritage.
