Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Ruth Ellis

Ruth Ellis, born on October ninth, nineteen twenty-six, was a Welsh-born model whose life took a tragic turn, leading her to become a notorious figure in British history. Her early years were marred by abuse from her father, which propelled her into the tumultuous world of nightclub hostessing as a teenager. This environment exposed her to a series of chaotic relationships, one of which was with racing driver David Blakely.

On Easter Sunday, April tenth, nineteen fifty-five, Ellis's tumultuous relationship with Blakely culminated in a shocking act of violence. In a moment of passion and despair, she fatally shot him outside The Magdala public house in Hampstead, London. The incident was witnessed by an off-duty policeman, leading to her immediate arrest.

Ellis's trial in June nineteen fifty-five captured the public's attention, as she was found guilty of premeditated murder. The court's decision was swift, and she was sentenced to death. On July thirteenth, she was hanged at Holloway Prison, marking her as the last woman to be executed in the United Kingdom, a grim distinction that has left a lasting legacy.
