Ryan McDonagh

Ryan McDonagh, born on June thirteenth, nineteen eighty-nine, is a prominent American professional ice hockey player known for his role as a defenseman and alternate captain for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League (NHL). His journey in ice hockey began when he was drafted in the first round, twelfth overall, by the Montreal Canadiens in two thousand seven, marking the start of a remarkable career.

Before making his mark in the NHL, McDonagh showcased his skills at the collegiate level, playing for the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His professional career took a significant turn when he joined the New York Rangers, where he served as team captain from October two thousand fourteen until his trade to the Lightning in two thousand eighteen.

During his tenure with the Lightning, McDonagh achieved remarkable success, winning back-to-back Stanley Cups in two thousand twenty and two thousand twenty-one. After these victories, he spent two seasons with the Nashville Predators, further solidifying his reputation in the league.
