Sa'id ibn Jubayr

Sa'id ibn Jubayr, also known as Abū ‘Abd Allāh, was a prominent Islamic jurist, muhaddith, and mufassir born in the year six hundred sixty-five in Kufa, which is located in modern-day Iraq. He is celebrated as one of the leading figures of the Tabi'in, a generation of scholars who followed the companions of the Prophet Muhammad, and he passed away around the year seven hundred twelve.

Renowned for his deep knowledge and understanding of Islamic jurisprudence, Sa'id ibn Jubayr earned the respect and admiration of scholars within the Sunni Islamic tradition. His contributions to the field of Islamic law and interpretation of the Quran have left a lasting impact on subsequent generations of scholars.

In addition to his legal expertise, Sa'id was also a notable narrator of hadith, having transmitted several important traditions from Ibn Abbas, a companion of the Prophet. His work in preserving and disseminating these teachings has been invaluable to the Islamic scholarly community.
