Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Saitō Makoto

Saitō Makoto, born on December second, eighteen fifty-eight, was a prominent figure in Japanese history, serving as both a military leader and a politician. His career began to flourish during the First Sino-Japanese War, where he distinguished himself while commanding two cruisers. This success propelled him to the rank of rear admiral by nineteen hundred, and he further advanced to vice admiral during the Russo-Japanese War in nineteen oh four.

In addition to his military achievements, Saitō held significant political positions, including Minister of the Navy from nineteen oh six to nineteen fourteen. His influence extended to Korea, where he served as Governor-General from nineteen nineteen to nineteen twenty-seven and again from nineteen twenty-nine to nineteen thirty-one. His political career reached a pivotal moment in May nineteen thirty-two when he assumed the role of prime minister following the assassination of Inukai Tsuyoshi, serving until nineteen thirty-four.

After his term as prime minister, Saitō returned to public service as Lord Keeper of the Privy Seal in February nineteen thirty-five. Tragically, his life was cut short a year later during the February twenty-six Incident, marking him as one of the last former prime ministers of Japan to be assassinated until the assassination of Shinzo Abe in twenty twenty-two.
