Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Salam Fayyad

Salam Fayyad, born on April twelfth, nineteen fifty-two, is a prominent Palestinian economist and politician. He made history by serving as the first prime minister of Palestine in January two thousand thirteen, a role he held until his resignation in June of the same year. Prior to this, he was the fourth prime minister of the Palestinian National Authority from two thousand seven until the position was replaced in two thousand thirteen.

Fayyad's political journey began when he served as the minister of finance from June to November two thousand five and again from March two thousand seven to May two thousand twelve. His resignation from the cabinet in November two thousand five was a strategic move to lead the newly founded Third Way party in the legislative elections of two thousand six, although the party did not achieve success. He returned to the role of Finance Minister in the March two thousand seven Unity Government.

His appointment as Prime Minister on June fifteenth, two thousand seven, was made by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas under the premise of a national emergency, although it was not confirmed by the Palestinian Legislative Council. Fayyad's tenure as prime minister concluded with the appointment of Rami Hamdallah on June second, two thousand thirteen.

In addition to his political career, Fayyad is recognized for his academic contributions as a visiting senior scholar and the Daniella Lipper Coules 'ninety-five Distinguished Visitor in Foreign Affairs at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He is widely acknowledged for implementing various reforms that significantly improved the Palestinian economy.
