Salih Mahmoud Osman

Salih Mahmoud Osman, born in January nineteen fifty-seven, is a prominent Sudanese human rights lawyer and politician renowned for his unwavering commitment to justice. Hailing from the Jebel Mara area in central Darfur, he has dedicated over two decades to providing free legal representation to hundreds of victims of ethnic violence in Sudan, establishing himself as a leading figure in the fight for human rights.

Osman's advocacy has not gone unnoticed; he has received numerous accolades for his tireless work. In two thousand five, he was honored with the Human Rights Watch award, followed by the International Human Rights Award from the American Bar Association in two thousand six.
