Saliha Sultan

Saliha Sultan, born in 1680, was a prominent figure in the Ottoman Empire as the consort of Sultan Mustafa II. Her role extended beyond that of a wife, as she became the Valide Sultan, the mother of Sultan Mahmud I, and a significant influence in the imperial court until her passing in 1739.

The legacy of the name Saliha Sultan continued through her descendants. One notable figure was Saliha Sultan, the daughter of Ahmed III, who lived from 1715 to 1778, further enriching the Ottoman lineage with her royal presence.

Another Saliha Sultan, born in 1811 and the daughter of Mahmud II, contributed to the royal heritage until her death in 1843. The name also graced the life of Saliha Verdicenan Kadın, who was the consort of Sultan Abdulmecid I from 1825 to 1889, showcasing the enduring influence of women in the Ottoman dynasty.
