Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Salman Khan

Salman Khan, born on December 27, 1965, is a prominent Indian actor, film producer, and television personality, primarily recognized for his work in Hindi cinema. With a career that spans over three decades, he has garnered significant acclaim, including two National Film Awards as a producer and two Filmfare Awards as an actor. His popularity and commercial success have made him one of the most celebrated figures in Indian cinema, with Forbes listing him among the highest-paid celebrities globally in both 2015 and 2018.

Khan's journey in the film industry began with a supporting role in the 1988 film Biwi Ho To Aisi. However, it was his leading role in Sooraj Barjatya's romantic drama Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989 that marked his breakthrough, earning him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He solidified his status with a string of successful films, including Saajan (1991), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), and the action-packed Karan Arjun (1995), among others. Despite facing a decline in the 2000s, he made a remarkable comeback with the action film Wanted in 2009.

The following decade saw Khan achieve unprecedented stardom, starring in blockbuster hits such as Dabangg (2010), Bodyguard (2011), and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015). His films have consistently topped the box office, with Khan featuring in the highest-grossing Hindi films for ten individual years, a record unmatched by any other actor. However, his career has not been without challenges, as he faced a series of poorly received films, with only a few exceptions like Bharat (2019) and Tiger 3 (2023).

Beyond his cinematic achievements, Khan is also a television presenter, best known for hosting the reality show Bigg Boss since 2010. He is actively involved in humanitarian efforts through his charity, the Being Human Foundation. However, his off-screen life has been marred by controversies, including a conviction for culpable homicide in 2015, which was later overturned on appeal, and a conviction in a blackbuck poaching case in 2018, for which he served a brief imprisonment before being released on bail.
