Sam Langford

Sam Langford, born on March 4, 1883, in Weymouth Falls, Nova Scotia, was a Canadian professional boxer whose career spanned from 1902 to 1926. Known for his incredible skill and power, he earned the moniker 'the Boston Bonecrusher' and 'the Boston Tar Baby' during his time in the ring. Standing at five feet six and a half inches and weighing one hundred eighty-five pounds in his prime, Langford fought across multiple weight classes, from lightweight to heavyweight.

Langford's boxing prowess was recognized by many historians, who regard him as one of the greatest fighters of all time. He was a devastating puncher, earning a spot as the second greatest puncher in history according to The Ring.
