Sam Snyders

Sam Snyders, also known affectionately as Sammy Snyders, is a talented Canadian actor and music educator who gained fame as a child star in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He is most recognized for his portrayal of Tom Sawyer in the beloved 1979 television series, Huckleberry Finn and His Friends, where he starred alongside Ian Tracey, who played the iconic character of Huckleberry Finn. Snyders also made a significant impact in the horror genre with his role as Jamie Benjamin in the 1981 film, The Pit.

In 1980, Snyders took on the role of Gregg Baxter in the second season of the innovative American sitcom, The Baxters. This groundbreaking series, originally produced by Norman Lear, was notable for being the first interactive sitcom, combining scripted drama with a live audience discussion segment. Snyders' performance contributed to the show's unique format, which allowed viewers to engage with the themes presented in each episode.
