Samanta Tīna Poļakova, born on March thirty-first, nineteen eighty-nine, is a prominent Latvian singer, songwriter, and composer. Known simply as Samanta Tīna, she has made a significant mark in the music industry with her unique sound and captivating performances.
Her journey in the Eurovision Song Contest began with multiple attempts to represent Latvia, having participated in the national selection seven times from two thousand twelve to two thousand nineteen. In two thousand twenty, she finally achieved her goal by winning the national selection Supernova, earning the right to represent her country with the song 'Still Breathing' at the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
However, due to the cancellation of the contest, Samanta was given another opportunity and was internally selected to represent Latvia in two thousand twenty-one with her new song, 'The Moon Is Rising.' Her passion for music also led her to compete in the Lithuanian preselection twice, in two thousand thirteen and two thousand seventeen, as well as participating in the Lithuanian version of The Voice.
