Samantha George

Dr. Samantha George is a distinguished Senior Lecturer in Literature at the University of Hertfordshire, where she is a vital part of the Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities Research Institute. With a PhD from the University of York, completed in two thousand four, she has dedicated her career to exploring the intricate relationships between literature, science, and gender.

Her research primarily focuses on eighteenth-century literature and the role of women in botany, highlighting the historical exclusion of women from the field following Linnaeus' classification.
