Samantha Stosur, born on March 30, 1984, is a distinguished Australian former professional tennis player renowned for her remarkable achievements in both singles and doubles. She first ascended to the pinnacle of women's doubles, achieving the world No. 1 ranking on February 6, 2006, a position she held for an impressive sixty-one consecutive weeks. Stosur also made her mark in singles, reaching a career-high ranking of world No. 4 on February 21, 2011, and spending a total of one hundred sixty-five weeks within the top ten from March 2010 to June 2013.

Stosur's illustrious career is highlighted by her triumph at the 2011 US Open, where she claimed her first Grand Slam singles title by defeating Serena Williams in the final.
