Sammy Ameobi

Sammy Ameobi, born on May first, nineteen ninety-two, is a former professional footballer known for his time on the pitch as an association football player. He is part of a talented family, being the younger brother of fellow footballers Shola and Tomi Ameobi. Sammy's journey in football began when he joined the youth academy of Newcastle United in two thousand eight.

After progressing through the ranks, he made his senior debut for Newcastle in May two thousand eleven. Despite his potential, Sammy faced challenges in securing a regular spot in the first team, ultimately making seventy appearances over a seven-year period. During this time, he also had loan spells with Middlesbrough, Cardiff City, and Bolton Wanderers.

In two thousand seventeen, Sammy was released by Newcastle United and subsequently returned to Bolton Wanderers on a permanent basis. His international career saw him represent Nigeria at the under-twenty level and England at the under-twenty-one level before he made the decision to switch his allegiance to Nigeria in August two thousand fourteen.
