Sammy Sosa

Sammy Sosa, born on November twelfth, nineteen sixty-eight, is a celebrated Dominican former professional baseball right fielder. His illustrious career spanned eighteen seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), with the Chicago Cubs being his primary team. Sosa joined the Cubs in nineteen ninety-two and quickly established himself as one of the game's premier hitters, achieving remarkable milestones along the way.

One of Sosa's most notable achievements came when he hit his four hundredth home run in his one thousand three hundred fifty-fourth game, a record-setting pace in National League history. He is among the elite group of nine players in MLB history to have hit six hundred career home runs. His pursuit of Roger Maris' single-season home-run record in nineteen ninety-eight, alongside Mark McGwire, catapulted him to international fame.

During his time with the Cubs, Sosa earned seven All-Star selections and set numerous team records.
