Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Samoa Joe

Nuufolau Joel Seanoa, widely recognized by his ring name Samoa Joe, was born on March 17, 1979. An accomplished American professional wrestler, judoka, and Thai boxer, he has made significant contributions to the world of wrestling since his debut in 1999. Currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Joe leads the faction known as the Opps and has achieved remarkable success, including being a two-time AEW World Champion and a one-time AEW World Trios Champion.

Joe's wrestling journey began with Ring of Honor (ROH) shortly after its inception in 2002. He made history by holding the ROH World Championship for an impressive twenty-one months, from March 2003 to December 2004, and also claimed the ROH Pure Championship. His career took a pivotal turn in June 2005 when he joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where he enjoyed a nineteen-month undefeated streak and captured multiple titles, including the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and the TNA X Division Championship five times.

In 2015, Samoa Joe transitioned to WWE, where he initially competed in the NXT brand, winning the NXT Championship twice. He made his way to the main roster in January 2017, securing the WWE United States Championship on two occasions and headlining numerous pay-per-view events. After a series of injuries, he shifted to a color commentator role in 2019. Despite being released in April 2021, he was rehired shortly after and won the NXT Championship for a third time before his release in January 2022.

In January 2022, Joe was honored as part of the inaugural class of the ROH Hall of Fame. He made his AEW debut three months later, simultaneously returning to ROH, which had become AEW's sister promotion. In this new chapter, he held the AEW TNT Championship twice and the ROH World Television Championship once, setting a record for the longest reign as ROH World Television Champion. In December 2023, he made headlines by defeating MJF for the AEW World Championship, becoming the only wrestler to have held the AEW, ROH, and TNA World Championships.

Beyond the ring, Seanoa has ventured into acting and voice acting. He is known for his role as Sweet Tooth in the 2023 television series Twisted Metal and for voicing King Shark in the 2024 video game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Additionally, he lent both his appearance and voice to the character Raymond Law in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
