Samuel Desjardins

Samuel Desjardins, born on July twenty-fifth, eighteen fifty-two, in Ste-Thérèse, Canada East, was a notable figure in Canadian politics and medicine. He was the son of Samuel Desjardins and Sophie Laurier, and his early education took place at the College of Ste-Thérèse de Blainville, where he laid the groundwork for his future endeavors.

As a physician, Desjardins transitioned into the political arena, marking his entry into the House of Commons of Canada in a by-election held in nineteen hundred and three. This election was necessitated by the vacancy left when Raymond Préfontaine opted to represent the riding of Maisonneuve after being elected in two constituencies.
