Elkasević is also a world champion, having triumphed in the years two thousand thirteen and two thousand seventeen, and she holds the remarkable title of a seven-time European champion, winning in two thousand ten, twelve, fourteen, sixteen, eighteen, twenty-two, and twenty-four. This impressive record makes her the most decorated female discus thrower in history.
Elkasević's journey in athletics began with a stellar junior career, highlighted by a gold medal at the two thousand nine European Junior Championships, where she set a new national record.
