Sandra Post, born on June fourth, nineteen forty-eight, is a distinguished retired professional golfer who made history as the first Canadian to compete on the LPGA Tour. Her remarkable journey began in nineteen sixty-eight when, at the young age of twenty, she clinched victory at the LPGA Championship, becoming the youngest player ever to win a women's major at that time.

Throughout her impressive sixteen-year career on the LPGA Tour, Post secured eight championships, establishing herself as a trailblazer in Canadian golf. Notably, she was the first Canadian to achieve multiple wins in a single season, accomplishing this feat twice in both nineteen seventy-eight and nineteen seventy-nine. It wasn't until two thousand that another Canadian, Lorie Kane, matched her two-win season.
