At the age of eight, they relocated to the United States, where they later graduated with a fine arts degree from the prestigious Juilliard School. Ramirez's career began on Broadway, making a notable debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman, which paved the way for their future endeavors in film and television.
Ramirez's breakthrough role came in two thousand five when they portrayed the original Lady of the Lake in the Broadway musical Spamalot, earning the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
