Sargis Sargsian

Sargis Sargsian, born on June third, nineteen seventy-three, is a distinguished former professional tennis player hailing from Armenia. His career was marked by impressive achievements, including reaching a career-high ranking of World No. 38 in singles and World No. 33 in doubles. Throughout his time on the ATP Tour, Sargsian secured one singles title and two doubles titles, consistently demonstrating his prowess on the court.

His journey in tennis began at Arizona State University, where he excelled in college tennis and clinched the prestigious NCAA Men's Singles Championship in nineteen ninety-five. Turning professional the same year, Sargsian continued to work under the guidance of his collegiate coach, Steve Bickham, which helped shape his competitive edge.

On the international stage, Sargsian proudly represented Armenia at the Summer Olympics in nineteen ninety-six, two thousand, and two thousand four, where he notably advanced to the second round in the latter. His dedication to the sport saw him finish eight seasons within the top one hundred of the ATP year-end rankings, a testament to his skill and determination.

After retiring from professional tennis in two thousand six, Sargsian initially settled in Florida before relocating to Prague, Czech Republic.
