He is best known for authoring the authorized biography of his spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada-lilamrta, which chronicles the life and teachings of Bhaktivedanta Swami.

In September 1966, Satsvarupa dasa Goswami became one of the first Westerners to be ordained by Bhaktivedanta Swami, marking a significant milestone in his spiritual journey.
